2011 Emerald City Open
December 4, 2011
Seattle, Washington
The University of Washington hosted the Second Annual Emerald City Open on the weekend of December 3-4. Both UW teams finished with records of 7-1, earning them 1st and 2nd Place. The teams enjoyed eight superb rounds against teams from Arizona, Colorado, Eastern Washington, Fresno State, Gonzaga, Washington State and Westminster. In addition to placing its teams 1st and 2nd, the UW took home the most individual accolades out of any program in attendance. Congratulations to Alex Crown, Russell Pharr, Brent Powell, Stephan Yhann and Shannon Zylstra for their award-winning performances.

We would like to recognize the people who made this tournament a success. Special thanks go to Dean Kellye Testy, Kim Eckstein and the entire UW Law School staff for allowing us to host in the beautiful William H. Gates Hall for a second year. We also thank all of the local attorneys and judges who generously volunteered their time throughout the weekend. Finally, thank you to our Tournament Director, Taylor Larson, our Tabulation Directors, Steven Taylor, Esq. and Erin Coltrera, and Ms. Anne Norton for their invaluable contributions to the success of this event.
